Hello and welcome to the Arise Church website! I'm Pastor Reed Swanson and I'm glad you are interested in learning more about us here at Arise. I believe you'll find Arise is a friendly church, and there are many ways for newcomers to get involved. Please see the Small Groups section of this site for some good ways to connect with others. Below are some topics that may answer common questions, if you aren't familiar with our church or our property. Our hope is that everyone who visits Arise Church will feel the love of God expressed through the people, music, ministries and messages of our church family. We look forward to meeting you sometime soon.

VISITOR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT TIME ARE CHURCH SERVICES?
Spirited Traditional Worship 9:00 a.m.
Sunday School for children 10:30 a.m.
Contemporary Praise Service 10:30 a.m.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO SERVICES?
Our traditional worship service features printed liturgies such as a Call to Worship, Unison Prayer, and The Lord's Prayer. The music features traditional hymns sung from a hymnal and accompanied by a pianist. Attendees of this service often enjoy worship traditions that become familiar over the years. The contemporary service features music that is more up tempo than traditional hymns and is led by our Praise Band. The style is contemporary Christian praise music. The sermon is the same at both services. The style of this service is generally more casual than the traditional service.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Casual attire is commonly worn at Arise, but some people choose to dress more formally. Both are appropriate at either service.
AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE MONEY TO THE CHURCH?
There is an offering at each service for our regular attendees and members. As a guest, we do not expect you to donate money.
WHAT ABOUT TAKING COMMUNION?
Arise is a United Methodist Church and all people are welcome to Christ's table in our denomination. You do not need to be a member of this church or of any church. People of all ages are welcome. Communion is offered at the front of the church or can be brought to your seat. We generally celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month at both services.
WHAT ABOUT A NURSERY OR SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR KIDS?
There is a nursery for infants and children through age 3 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. at no cost. Children ages 3 - 5 and those in elementary school attend worship with their families at 10:30 a.m. and are dismissed for their Sunday School classes, usually after a Children's Message in the early part of the service.
DO YOU HAVE PARKING CLOSE BY?
There is plenty of paved surface parking at Arise and handicap parking is available right in front of the door. We are situated on 20 rural acres, so enjoy the short, scenic drive along our pond and Reflection Garden as you approach the church building itself.
IS THE FACILITY ACCESSIBLE?
Arise church is ACA compliant and is handicap accessible.
WHAT ABOUT CONNECTING WITH OTHER PEOPLE?
We have a hospitality time beginning at 10 a.m. between our services that extends for awhile after the second service, also, so help yourself to refreshments and we feel sure you will feel welcomed. In the church foyer, there is a Welcome Table with a small gift for first time guests and information about the activities at Arise. There are many ways to connect with people and activities at Arise. Pastor Reed is happy to discuss this with you, if you are interested in learning more.
