Welcome to Arise Church! As pastor to Arise, I want to invite you to worship with us if you do not have an in-person faith community. When you enter our sanctuary on a Sunday morning, you will experience what we mean when we say “where faith and friends connect” and you’ll quickly discover family you never knew you had!

Arise Church started in 1996 as a fresh approach to bringing the Good News of Jesus to the Pinckney community. Nearly 30 years later we are still looking for new ways to continue loving and serving our neighbors. We see serving all of our neighbors as our mission—we want you to experience God’s hospitality through our efforts as a church.

Our hope is that whether you attend a service, join a support group, receive groceries from our food pantry, participate in our annual DogFest, or simply bring your pup to our dog park, you will see our church as a place of hope and encouragement.

If you ever need anything, please let us know! You can email me at pastorjonathan@arisechurch.org or call the church at (734) 878-1928.

ABOUT OUR WORSHIP SERVICE

Arise's worship services are warm and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. We sing a mixture of hymns and contemporary songs led by our pianist and praise band. Services are one hour long.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Casual attire is commonly worn at Arise, but some people choose to dress more formally. Both are appropriate at our service.

AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE MONEY TO THE CHURCH?

There is a time of giving for our regular attendees and members. We do not expect guests to donate.

WHAT ABOUT TAKING COMMUNION?

Arise is a United Methodist Church and all people are welcome to Christ's table in our denomination. You do not need to be a member of this church or any church. People of all ages are welcome. Communion is offered at the front of the church or can be brought to your seat. We generally celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month. It is open to everyone.

WHAT ABOUT A NURSERY OR SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR KIDS?

There is a nursery for infants and children under age three. Children ages 4 to 12 attend worship with their families at 10 a.m. They are dismissed for their Sunday School classes, usually after a children's message in the early part of the service.

DO YOU HAVE PARKING CLOSE BY?

There is plenty of paved surface parking at Arise, and handicap parking is available right in front of the door. We are situated on 20 rural acres, so enjoy the short, scenic drive along our pond and Reflection Garden as you approach the church building itself.

IS THE FACILITY ACCESSIBLE?

Arise Church is ACA compliant and is handicap accessible.

WHAT ABOUT CONNECTING WITH OTHER PEOPLE?

We hope all visitors of Arise Church feel welcomed. Enjoy refreshments and snacks during our meet and greet every Sunday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Visit our 'Welcome Table' to receive a small gift for first-time guests and information about Arise’s activities. There are many other ways to connect with people and activities at Arise. Pastor Jonathan is happy to discuss this with you if you are interested in learning more.
